Energy club is a part of Department of Chemistry, which focuses on bringing about awareness on energy crisis and scarcity of natural resources in the country. Energy club functions with an aim to contribute towards Nation Building by creating responsible citizen who conserve energy and also promote civic and moral values. UG students of science departments are the members of this club.

Policies

  • To conduct workshop / seminars in topics relating to renewable energy.
  • To carry on small projects connected with alternate energy sources and recycling of water etc.
  • To create awareness on Energy Crisis and highlight the importance, necessity, advantages and ways of using alternate energy sources among the public.
  • To conduct competitions on the topics relating to energy crisis and renewable energy sources.
  • To enrich the knowledge of the members about renewable energy by visit to renewable energy producing units like biodiesel plant, wind energy plants etc.
  • In order to carry out the activities successfully, the department wishes to have tie up with Energy Organizations like MNRE, TEDA etc. for financial support and guidance.

  • Awareness is created on Energy Crisis and the importance of alternate energy sources are highlighted among the public
  • Competitions have been conducted on the topics relating to energy crisis and renewable energy sources.

  • Awareness is created on the need, concept and methodology of energy conservation and its benefits to the individual, society and nation by organizing talks, seminars and workshops
