NIRMALA COLLEGE FOR WOMEN

Introduced in the year 1948, Hindi is still taught as a language under Part I for general study. Miss Yamuna Bai was the First Head of the Department from 1948-1952.

An active Hindi Association, with activities all-round the year keeps the flair for the language alive and makes communication skills, engaging and vibrant. A full-fledged Library, with many Hindi books and Magazines, is made available to the students.

Scholarships instituted for excellence in the language is an added incentive to the students.

Group Discussion, Debates are the special features of the Department. Festivals like ‘Rakshabandhan’, ‘Onam’ and ‘Holi’ are celebrated to promote National integration.

Department of Hindi has started ‘Spoken Hindi Classes’ from 2019 to disseminate its utility value to the other students also.
