The Journey of the Department (B.A. Tamil) was incepted in the year 2018 - 2019 and keeps marching forward for the progression of the department.
The Department intends to provide comprehensive and intensive knowledge in the field of Tamil literary studies. Exposure to a multiplicity of cultures and different varieties of genres enables to explore the multifaceted dimensions of Tamil Language and Literature.
The Department is striving hard to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of Tamil Language and Literature, to develop and encourage their creative skills in critical reading and writing, to mould self-confident individuals capable of pursuing related careers in a challenging environment.
