ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

The department of Mathematics began its journey with an Under Graduate Course in 1948 and was upgraded to the Post Graduate level in 1975 and now it stands as a full - fledged department with the introduction of Research programmes from the year 2005. Interactive teaching methodologies like lectures, seminars, assignments, power point presentations and guest lectures are adopted to enliven the classroom atmosphere. Special care is administrated to Tamil medium students to boost their confidence. Regular tutor - ward sessions yield healthy relationships between staff and students.
